Hi...
I'll be going on vacation for 1 week, I don't have anybody that can feed my fish while I'm away....WHAT TO DO !!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Sugarcookie

Why not get one of those battery operated Penn-Plax automatic fish feeders, they are pretty effective and much better than those 'vacation block' type of thing.

your fish will be fine for one week without food. just feed them RIGHT before you leave and right when you get back. no need to waste money on auto feeders that often overfeed or feeding blocks that foul the water.

A whole week without food? Seriously?

I echo the question... seriously? And to think I stress missing a day... maybe I'm over-feeding?

I have been gone for 10 days w/o feeding fish. Any longer I would have someone make maybe one trip and feed. .

I can't remember where I read it, but I recall reading that fish can go as long as 1 month without eating. After that they'd definitely die of starvation. Now, I wouldn't want to test that theory, but if it's correct, then 1 week should be fine. Just do as 'J double R' suggested. A good feeding before you leave.
