well, my experienceZ lead me to believe and adviZe that penguinZ are a-okay... though some may tell you otherwiZe

In tank whisperZ are pieceZ of crap. Although Tetra the HOB - hang over back - filters seem to do a pretty sufficient job. If you go with theZe, I would go one step up from your tank i.e. I have a 10g, I went with a 10-20 instead of an X-10 ... get my drift? It is better to over filter than under filter, I burnt out my 10i whisper in tank because it was rated at 10 topZ. Go one step higher and theZe (Tetra HOB) are great. P.S. it is alwayZ good to get one with refillable media i.e. activated carbon so you can use that portion of the filter multiple times by refilling it instead of buying new oneZ every time your carbon is no longer "activated".
