Oooooh, Star!!! What gorgeous fish! Best wishes for continued success with your new babies.

So nice Ed! Can I be your east coast co-owner since I will never be able to do altums?:D

what are you feeding them?

flake?
bloodworms?
grindal?
brine shrimp?
guppy fry?
roe?
nightcrawlers?
maggots?
pellets?
neons?

they are not a fan of pellet food.. prefer flake and bloodworms.

which is fine as flake will give them much of the nutrition they need.

Star- I just emailed Vince at H.A.W.- Atabapo Altums are arriving there next week and I asked for 18. If you have more space you might want to add to your collection.

How are the ones you already have doing? All still alive and healthy? Also did you have to treat them for anything?

Based on your post. I have the tank for them set and ready to go at pH 6.4 and TDS about 30ppm. A few large cartappas were added to the tank and a bag of alder cones to the power filter. The UV unit has been running for about a week 24/7. I waited several weeks into a fishless cycle using Dr. Tim's One and Only and his ammonium chloride before turning on the UV.
