finally got a test kit

do a 50 % water change and if you really need to up the ph put some crushed coral in a bag in your filter or in the tank, its not low enough to bother with IMO the fish would rather it was stable than yo trying to mess with it all the time...fish guru water changes are the only way to treat ammo and nitrites till the bacteria in the filter can stabilize the tank on its own

thanks! Never heard of that, putting chrushed coral to raise PH.
Then again I dont know much haha.
The fish seem fish with the PH so I guess I'll go with your word and keep it that way :)

Ill do the 50% water change in the morning and then test the water Params again

Fish don't really care for ph, it's mostly the GH and KH they care about. For he kind of fish in your 12 gallon tank, they actually appreciate the low ph. Is the test kit a dip test or a liquid test?

That ammonia reading has to be wrong. If you got test strips they are very inaccurate. You need a liquid test. Otherwise test again and make sure to follow the instructions carefully.

If you end up with ammonia and nitite still you are in a fish cycle. You will need to test the water regularly and do water changes to keep ammonia and nitrite under .25 ppm.

Almost all "bacteria" additives sold in stores contain none of the bacteria you need. The only product that does is Bio spira but as far as I know the product has been discontinued. Any found in stores will possibly be expired and it was a hit-or-miss product anyways.

What is your current stock? If I remember correctly it was fully stocked already. You will probably need to return fish otherwise the cycle will be harder to manage. Not all fish can handle low amounts if ammonia/nitrite either.

Another option is to find already established media.

Well as I said in my previous post, its a liquid test kit. ha :)
and My stock is in my signature. I was trying to get all hardy/peacful kinds of fish

I was typing as you posted ;)

Your stock isn't hardy enough for a fish cycle IMO. Not only that but you have a few small groups of fish that prefer larger groups. If I were you I would return all your fish and opt for a fishless cycle.

ahh! why didnt my signature save?!

I really have:
(5) neons
(3)black neons
(1) betta
(1) gold barb
I know the barb should be in a school but he seems to be trying to school with other fish.
and I sorta cant return the barb or black neons... I lost the reciept! haa
