Thanks yeah sevs are cool. Yes thats a sun cat.:)

I loved the severum! As soon as I put him in the tank he started to eat shrimp and flakes. This saturday I am going to go get some more sevs.:)

So, you have 2 oscars, 2 (or is it 3? I cannot tell from your sig) angels, 1 tinfoil barb, 1 silver dollar, 2 synodontis eupterus, an eclipse catfish, and a severum in your 25g tank, and you intend to add more fish? I'm sorry... I just can't say "good job" to something like that. I'm not here to bash your setup, but I am entitled to my opinion. (just as you are entitled to your opinion, so take everything I say with a grain of salt) Honestly, I believe you should focus on saving for a larger setup rather than just adding a bunch of fish which will get large relatively quickly to a 25g tank. I'd hate to see such a tank be a growout for even a couple severums for more than a few months, let alone the stocking list you have suggested you have. With the stocking list you're aiming for, you're looking at needing a 150g tank. (which I'm assuming you already know, I'm saying this for the newer folks who see this thread and think this tank setup is OK to have)

I'm not sure the angels with the oscars is a wise idea either, but again, that's your call to make, not mine. If my memory serves me, silver dollars are a schooling fish (they are characins, after all) and as such, they need to have at least a small school (5+) to ensure their health and happiness. I believe this also applies to tinfoil barbs, though I don't know what family they come from. I have no doubt that 3-4 sevs, 2 oscars, 5 silver dollars, 5 tinfoil barbs, an eclipse catfish, and 2 synodontis eupterus would do great together in a 200g tank, but that is 8x the volume they share at present. (these numbers are to compensate for the fact that you intend to purchase more severums, and hoping that you add to your silver dollar/tinfoil numbers) Granted, you're not quite at that stocking list just yet, but even as juvenile fish, I don't see it to be fair to the fish to have such a stocking list in a 25g tank.

Again, voicing my opinion, and giving some food for thought to everyone, especially those who are newer to this. By no means do I applaud this setup, especially given the apparent condition of the water. I know the pictures are not overly clear to start with, but the water looks very hazy to me. What kind of filtration do you have on this tank? What is your water change schedule? Sincerely, I hope its at least 50% every other day. (but based on my earlier statement, I'm assuming its not)

Rotkeils are nice. When I bought mine I wasn't overly impressed but had faith that they'd look outstanding when they matured. They're both turning into really nice looking fish - especially the male. He has the potential to be the nicest looking fish in the tank!

I no longer have the oscars, silverdollars, or tinfoil barbs. I gave them to my dad's 150. Now in my 25 I have 1 severum. 1 Angelfish, and 1 sun cat.
