It's been 5 days since I picked out the first clown to be paired. I want to call or go check on them..... Don't want to pester them.....so anxious though!

The clowns won't care and the LFS should want to see you come into their store.
Clowns aren't hard to pair when they are the size in the pics you provided. Pretty much need to find a smaller or much larger ocellaris and you'll be set. Of course there might be a couple displays of dominance/submission as they sort out who's the boss (female) but that is normal and comes and goes.

It'll be another week on the clowns, at least. They didn't have the same species with which to pair it.

Same species relationships are boring anyways. Plus salty people seem to be a lot less touchy about hybrids. :evil_lol:
Well there are black varieties of each (Black Ocellaris and Black Percula). So you could do it either way. But Ocellaris and Percula can and will cross. It is just a matter of which look/type you prefer.
Pairing them up is usually just a matter of introducing them to each other before one finds a reason to turn female. You way of having the store do it is probably the safest/failproof route though.
