Finally got that salt tank...

I know its hard to do but you might want turn down the lights in the tank to help them settle in a bit. Would do that for a couple of days. Should help with the temp too. Another thing I have found is that if you leave newly introduced fish alone they tend to come around a lot quicker. When you feed the tank, add a little food to the water and step away from the tank and let the fish come out. Mysis shrimp soaked in garlic xtreme (or something similar) is another good thing to do.

The little male never hid until this morning. I dipped a small cup in the tank to thaw the food cube and I spooked them and they have been hiding in te corner ever since. I've just left the actinics on to help them settle in.

Here is the leather I bought, all fluffy after an hour in the tank :)

The clowns scared me this morning though. Came to turn the lights on and they were both up at the top floating. Turns out they were just sleeping, perked up when the lights came on but sheesh!!

Yep, Clowns do seem to sleep like that sometimes. I've noticed quite a few fish sleep like that. I had a Planehead Filefish that liked to sleep on its side floating around one side of the tank.

The key thing to keep in mind when worrying about saltwater creatures is, the clean-up crews in saltwater are very good at their job. You don't often get the floating fish that is common with freshwater.

They ate a little bit today :)

I found an aptasia in my tank...

Zap it immediately. They are tough to get rid of once they get a foot hold.

+50 gazillion! I nuked my entire tank to get rid of those little monsters, they took it over completely.
