Finally got that salt tank...

If you can get it inside of them before they close lemon juice will work.

I had my mom bring me some syringes home from the hospital, so when I get home I'm going to try the lemon juice.

That was an interesting text though.... Hey mom will you bring me a syringe and needle home from work? Promise I won't do drugs!!

Majano Nems are pretty cute.... and probably about the only thing my tank can/could sustain.... I almost want one.

Joes Juice and Aptasia X are common store bought products. You can also mix up some Kalkwasser (also bought at your LFS) with RO/DI to make your pwn paste. A syringe without a needle or a medice dropper works best to apply these but JJ and Aptasia X comes with their own applicators. With these pastes you don;t have to inject them, just smother them. The paste essentially burns/melts the nems. Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime can be used in place of Kalk if you can't find it and can be bought at your grocery store.

I'm going to give the lemon juice a shot tonight and if that doesn't work then I'll try the kalk, from what ive read it seems to be preferred over Joe's Juice

And a lot cheaper. Also get a small glass or plastic bottle with a screw on cap to mix it in. Another benefit of using kalk is that you can make a very thick paste that sticks to the nem better. Need a squirter to apply as well. You want a tip that gives you good control over how much you apply at a time. Don't let it sit on your corals either. That goes for JJ's and Aptasia X too.

Just found and removed a gorilla crab from my tank. Glad I decided to pull it out and put it in a container before I researched it.

Good catch!

But may not be a gorilla.

Edit: I thought gorillas were a lot thicker but after looking at some pics it does look similar.

Awww, it looks cute. Looks like it wouldn't hurt a fly (technically this is true, since a living fly wouldn't be at the bottom of a fishtank). :evil_lol:

Good job catching it. They can be a lot faster and more agile then they appear. :thm:
