Finally got that salt tank...

I'll just have to be diligent I suppose :nilly:

Will nori/veggie sheets be ok for my urchin and cucumber? Id like to provide something for them to ensure they are I fact eating and to prevent them from tasting any of my corals :)

I didn't recall you having a cucumber. Do you know what kind it is?

You can give them the algae but you may need to rubberband it to a rock for wither to find it. Your urchin will also eat coraline algae.

I just saw this urchin on Diver's Den and thought of your macro problem. I don't know anything about this species but the description notes that it eats macro algae

I don't know what kind of cucumber it is, I'll do some googling while I'm at work, and if I can't find out online I'll go down to the store or call....my job is REALLY laid back

Here are some pictures of the cuc.

All the lfs could tell me is that they are sand sifting cucs

Ya its a sand sifter but I can't recall the name. Just don't go too heavy on other critters that feed off the sand so it has enough to eat.

Would that particular one be likely to ever eat nori? or does it just pick up sand with its mouth tentacle things, digest the edibles and leave the sand as waste?

It may eat the nori but its more than likely just going to eat detritus in the sand. You can try it though. Maybe rubberband the nori to a small rock on the sand?

I'm not seeing any of his poos so I'm worried he isnt eating. Ive also found him all over the glass grazing. I want to make sure he's fed.

If he's on the glass, chances are he's hungry. Keep an eye on him and if he starts to shrink or gets skinny find him a bigger tank at your LFS or another hobbyist.
