Finally got that salt tank...

Mushrooms do that when irritated, if they're still open they should be fine though. Just keep an eye on them for the next couple days and get them glued down :)

^ Yep. I've got an Umbrella Mushroom that if you so much as move it it starts spewing out white threads. The Ricordeas do the same but it seems to take more to upset them.

Think it'll recover?

I don't have experience with that type, but my Umbrella survived being trimmed down 25% by a puffer, one Ricordea survived being trimmed down 75%, and another Ricordea survived being trimmed down the size of a small piece of gravel (probably 90+%). It'll probably recover. From what I've seen of mushrooms, as long as the mouth is intact (or even a portion of the mouth) it'll recover. It's a coral people frag by slicing it like pie.

The Acan I'm not sure about. Greech can maybe give you some insight into that. Are those polyps beaten up or that pieces of the mushroom on it? At the very least the colony should be fine, even if you lose a polyp or two.

It looks to be just funk from the mushroom

^maybe you could hold the parts of the colony with funk on it in front of an output or powerhead to blow the chunks off or syphon them out? The acan may be trying to eat the mushroom bits, but it's equally possible that your mushroom may have been attacking the acan and that what's on it could be bad. I'd just avoid anything negative and clean up as best you can now.

regretfully I wont be home tonight to be able to do that.

My Duncans have really grown, the smallest head (the one on the bottom) has some runty tentacles though. The whole head has grown but this one area of tentacles have not. It is not being stung by anything as far as I can tell. It was like that since the day I brought it home from the LFS.

My BTA has nearly doubled in size as well.

Here is a video of both my clowns FINALLY in the BTA together. I recommend not having the sound on because my tank is in my laundry room and the dryer is running and the sound is fairly obnoxious.

Clowns and nem look happy :)

In all likelihood, the duncan is PO'd because the frilly mushroom next to it is stinging it. Duncan has no chance against that shroom (actually, not many corals do).

that is a possibility, I will move it and see if it recovers. It might have been stung/nibbled on in the store as well
