Finally re-starting my 72g bowfront!

Sorry no pics tonight. I didn't even start going through the star grass, dipped it in PP though and I am not looking forward to going through it! I'm going out soon, to drink some beer so I will work on that tomorrow. Not sure where I want to plant it, any suggestions?

Update

- BBA and diatoms have arrived! Always when I start adding ferts no matter how much CO2 I pump in. I am not worried though because the new growth is stellar looking, maybe I will grab some more amanos. My 3 yr old ones have passed one now. :)
- New crypt is looking a little yellow, hasn't dropped a single leaf yet though so I will stick a root tab under there.
- The star grass spent a day in the mailbox, a very hot day, because I didn't know it had even shipped out then I had to wait to plant it so it doesn't look too happy.
- The hygro Kompact went poof as I expected but 2 leaves are hanging on!
- Hornwort is quite happy though!

Most of my photos just aren't worth posting, sorry, so this is it for now. New camera is coming within 2 weeks, yay! Just a before clean-up/trim FTS and the stargrass and kompact.

looks good!

and yay for a new camera :)

Thanks dougall! :)

What is everyone else's take on why the hygro kompakt died? It just melted away. Some leaves that fell off are still alive floating around the tank so I think the stems died first. I have an idea or two but wanna know what you guys think.

I've never personally kept it, but from all I've seen it's supposed to be an easy plant to grow.

It did seem a little small from the picture, was it just the single plant?

and did you dip it in pp?

I did dip it in PP, as I do with all my plants. The 1st photo is when I planted it 2 weeks ago. It has looked like the above picture for a week now. You can see it in the 2nd picture on the left side in front of the wood, for an idea of size. It was a VERY packed little pot with lots of roots.

sorry I can't be of any help, but you'll feel better if you post more pictures. ;)
