first big tank with plants

You've done a beautiful job!

That tank is gonna be killer when it's filled in , YEAH !!!!!!!!!!! :) Looks nice

Sounds good. What type filtration?

its a brand new tank with (i think) a pretty good built in filter so i'm going with that and we'll see how it goes. I'm certainly not averse to possibly having to replace it in the future!

How much are the dennison barbs at your lfs? I think they run about $28 or $30 each here. They are pretty.

yeah i think they look great, very striking for tropical fish. Not too sure how much they're going to charge me actually, saw them and simply thought 'i want those fish' but have managed to find an online supplier who has them listed for £15 each or £12 for 4 or more - shame they don't have any at the moment, i understand they're actually quite difficult to get hold of so if anyone knows a stockist with some around SW london....

Very nice looking tank, can't wait to see it with fish in.
I would add another filter though, having two filters is better than one.

just wanted to say thanks for all the comments, its nice to know that its not just me who thinks its quite cool-the missus thinks im mad "shame you can't spend as much time working on me or the housework" !!
keep the comments, even negative, and further advice coming please!

i will definately get another filter - its big enough for it and i'd feel much happier having it in case of any failures
