Well.. I thought everything was going well with my 30 gallon hex tank.. I had 2 Bangai Cardinal fish, 2 clown fish and my cleaner shrimp... which has molted a few times already and was a pretty good size...
Anyway noticed last night that the shrimp was not alive.. took him out.. came home tonight to find both clown fish also dead.. my boys did not take kindly to this and are really upset.. I did an emergency water change with balanced salt levels and added a power head to the tank as well. (I noticed some red/brown algae growing). Anyway.. hoping the cardinal fish will be ok now..
I did take the water to be checked at Big Al's and they told me the ammonia level was somewhat high, but didn't give me any recommendations other than reduce the feeding.. after I called back with the news my 2 clowns were dead was when the mentioned the water conditioner and water change...
I'll keep you guys informed how things go...
:help:
