Everything sounds fine. I just don't think your Co2 or excel are the causes of death, but there's no way to tell for sure.

So Should I dose the excel like normal? I havent dosed today....Also should I put the diy co2 back?

Hold old is the test kit? I would test again.

With the setup you describe O2 should be high enough. No Co2 at the moment correct?

EDIT: Excel shouldn't be a problem. I've gone overboard with dosing without harming fish. Although it's really not necessary with Co2 as it's liquid carbon. How many bottles of Co2?

I dont know how old the test kit is I bought it used online....Yeah no co2 at the moment...DIY co2 was two 3-liter bottles.

It may be time for a new test kit...without knowing how old it is it's possible the tests are skewed.
