Fish doing great, everything else dying!!!! Help!

On the corals, what kinds do you have and where did they place them in the tank relative to light and flow?

Are they acclimating them to your lights?

Do they have any that are from different colonies or are different types that are close enough to touch one another?

I think bringing another service in to check the whole system is a good idea. They should be very thorough in an attempt to gain your business! It might cost you a bit to get their opinion, but hopefully they can provide some answers.

And what Grins said ^

i just thought of two other things beside copper that can mess up or kill your corals badly but leave fish alone. one, very high ammount of desolved organics, doesn't have to be just nitrate, but just lots of heavily used or dirty water, or someting like Red Sea ready to use salt water. second, Kent Marine RO Right additive.

LFS SG = 1.015...that explains why everything went into shock after only having had a temperature acclimation. The owner was shocked the his salinity of his inverts was so **** low. His fish system was 1.025.

Once my nitrates taper off, I am getting a few critters and going to do a drip acclimation. This should next Saturday. This might be the entire problem. Thanks everyone!

Over the next few days he will be raising his SG. I have credit for all that has perished. I will demand that each visit be properly documented. We haven't discussed that yet, but that's how it's going to be.

I am still pissed off that this has happened. I am willing to bet that this is all a function of improper acclimation.
