Well my pleco "rests" so deeply that she falls off the roof of her cave all the time and doesn't appear to notice. :)
Scared the crap out of me the first time I saw it... I thought she was dead.

Well most sites say it's not really sleep because they don't have eyelids, but I personally believe they go pretty deep into their state of rest. My betta is a deep "sleeper" too.
 
Just walked by and she's in this same position right now, again. Funny thing too that she's squeezes into that small cave that's narrower than she is long when there's another one twice as big in the tank. I think she always chooses the ones closest to the filter output.
 
snakes sleep, they don't have eyelids.

my plecos will sometimes attach upside-down to a low piece of wood, and then when they fall asleep they detach from the wood and just lay on the bottom of the tank on their backs. the first time i thought they were dead too, but when they wake up they just flip over and swim away.
