I have a pair of Kribs in my 10g,they seem to only like blood worms. I have tried feeding them flake and dried shrimp, but they only pick at them. Yesterday I bought some Hikari Cichlid Staple-mini pellets, the male just spit them out.
Maybe I got them spoiled on the bloodworms?
Anybody have any suggestions as to what to feed Kribensis?

I feed mine Spirulina flake and krill pellets I dont think it is a good idea for them to have a 100% meat diet

Try some Pacifica plankton, brine shrimp, and snails along with the blood worms as 'treats'.

For their staple diet I would just stick with cichlid flake foods and avoid pellets other than New Life Spectrum.

Do pellets only work on large fish? My friends oscars love Hikari pellets. How are New Life Spectums pellets different?
What would be the best flake for Kribs?(Tetra, Marineland's Bio-Blend, Ocean Nutritions, New Life Spectrum, etc.)
Sorry I ask so much questions.

Dwarf cichlids and Kribs generally prefer the flakes over pellets...as do juveniles of the larger species. New Life Spectrum usually comes in a much smaller size than most other pellets and is just a very good food.
Any of those flakes you mentioned are perfectly suitable foods...all are of good quality. 'HBH Cichlid Attack' is another good one. Buy as many different foods as you can afford. I'd try several different kinds of flake and just alternate foods every day.

I feed my Salvinis 6 different foods weekly and their feeding schedule usually looks something like this:

Mon.- Marineland Bioblend pellets
Tues.- Plankton
Wed. - snails
Thurs.- Tetramin Crisps
Fri. - Crickets
Sat. - Mealworms
Sun. - Bioblend pellets again.

They seem to like the variety....they're looking pretty healthy and are breeding about once every 6 weeks or so.

Another great food worth looking into is 'Cyclop-eeze'.

Ok, I will just experiment then. I know they don't like Tetramin flakes for tropical fish, so maybe I will try a specialized Cichlid flake. Either Tetramin or Ocean Nutrition's Omni Formula.
Thanks for the advice.

Flowerhorn-Yeah, you're right, spirulina is a type pf algae. What brand of krill pellets are you talking about?
Appreciate your feedback.
