Fish in cycling surprise and question

I purchased two fancy guppies, a male & female to use for fish in cycling of a new 29 gallon. I read all about the rigourous testing and water change requirements and decided I could commit to that.
So here is the thing: These 2 guppies have been in the tank less than 24 hours and I've already counted at least 5 fry. The kid at the fish store must have not have seen them. I didn't either because they are so small and nearly transparent. Imagine my surprise.

So far so good, neither of the adult fish seem to be exhibiting any sort of stress. The little ones seem ok also.

I really want these little guys to survive, should I try to yank them out of the tank until it's fully cycled, or just leave them be?

I tried to get a picture but I couldn't get a good one.

Umm, the female had babies. The kid at the fish store didn't miss them because the babies were inside the female. Just leave them be. Where would you put them anyway if you yanked them? You don't have a cycled tank. Just feed sparingly until the tank cycles.

I should have mentioned my kids have a fully cycled 10 gallon hex with some neons in it. That's where the little ones would go.

Sort of OT but you can significantly speed up the cycle of the new tank by sqeezing out the already-cycled media in the smaller tank, into the new one.

sploke is quite right. Even better would be to take some of the filter media (I usually use part of the sponge) from the 10 and put it with the new filter media on the 29. You should have an almost instant cycle, at least for 2 little guppys with a handful of fry in a 29g...very low bio-load.

How dopey do I feel now? I can't believe that I didn't think of that! Thanks for pointing that out sploke & Rowangel.

Thanks very much!

don't add the babies to the established tank unless you have a safe place for them otherwise you'll just be feeding the neons.
