Dunno how to help, hondaman. I could be constipation if he is swollen. Don't think it's swim bladder as that would affect him all the time.

Maybe try some shelled peas and see if he has an intestinal obstruction?

Wish I could help more.

Well I went and got a new 10g tank to be used as a hospital tank. Filter, Heater, and Air Pump. I set it up, took water from the main tank, placed media from my last main tank in it and put the shark in.

I cant risk it being a bacterial infection that could spread. Anyway, I treated the water with Stress Zyme, Stress Coat, Salt, and am administering Maracyn-2.

Is there anything else I sould do?

well i added a bkg on both sides also so he doesnt think the bala he sees in another one. He kept banging himself against the glass.

I also added 1 layer of gravel from the main tank to give him a more "homey" feel. He already has a bubble wand but I'll look into the bubble stone. LOL

I was just about to suggest some type of decoration - a fake plant or a log or a piece of PVC pipe so he can hide. I imagine he is stressed out as it is - maybe that would make him feel a bit safer.

wow, i wanted to set up a Hospital Tank now it's turning into the Four Seasons.

My hospital tank is planted and decorated...may be a 4 seasons but it helps them recover faster if they are in comforting surroundings, whats odd that I found that worked is red LED's on the light hoods, I dont know what or why it is but my fish seem more comforting with them on...just a suggestion

Yah, good point and I forgot to mention that. I have a ton of fake plants in my QT tank so that fish that like to hide feel more at ease. You can't heal a fish if it's stressed because it has no place to hide.

Fake plants are good because when you are done you can do wash them in bleach and get them ready for the next occupant.
