Fish Nazi at LFS

You guys are REALLY outta touch.

Scooby Doo is on Cartoon Network and Boomerang all the time. It's back "in" again :)

FWIW one of my brothers, when he was 18, looked EXACTLY like Shaggy. Even walked like him. Hehehheheh. Ruh-roh!

Great news :)

Galaxie, I like your style ;)
...and I agree with everything you've said in this thread.

oh, and LMFAO at the Chewbacca reference. True, true.

 :thm:

Way to go! I agree with you 100%. I have kept Tiger Barbs with Veiled angel fish in a 70 gal tank. I was told it couldn't be done. For more than five years I never had a problem. Also i used to buy one fish when starting a new tank. after the water sat for four or five days I would put one fish in it. The fish would be the cheapest fish I could find. I did not care how delicate the fish was. I just wanted it to start the bacteria in my tank. I was told by a LFS employee I couldn't add a $0.99 black tetra to a 10 gal tank. The owner was there and new she was going to get half the money I made cutting grass and shoveling drive way that year... I went home with the tetra.
I believe all fish have their own personalities and it comes from there enviroment. Not all dogs hate cats... not all fin nippers nip fins.

i am sure someone somewhere is keeping a few piranhas with their goldfish, and they are the bestest friends...but should a fish store employee stop someone from putting piranhas into a goldfish tank? i think yes.

I rather there are a few more of that 19 yr kid than a bunch of petco yes-you-can-keep-3-goldfish-in-a-2gallon-bowl moron employees.

hmmmmm i agree we need more informed LFS employees but a line must be drawn, i believe that there is a difference between 'there is no way you can do that' and 'that is not recommended'.

ive had a bad experence where a LFS owner was against 'fish-in cycles' and would not sell me 3 danios for my 60G i had got from him a week before. There is a difference between educating and conditioning people on your veiws.

I had simular situation when i was first shopping for my set up so I just left . I returned a day later with a receipt of 1200 plus dollars from a close by lfs. the best part was the look on the owners face when he saw me talking to his employee. I can only imagine what it was like in there once i left
