After you use it in the QT, make sure you sterlize it before putting it back in the main tank. Maybe that's obvious, but thought I'd bring it up anyway. Don't want to bring any diseases back into the main tank.learnin2swim said:I like the sponge filter idea

A sponge filter can be as easy as an Aquaclear sponge, some tubing and an air pumpFor a QT it doesn't have to be pretty.
