Thanks, GG! How are your water babies?

Hows my plants? lol
That sword is getting pretty big! The aponogeton's have all sprouted and are chugging along... the vals need to be trimmed/cleaned up but are shooting out runners like crazy!

The sword as of tonight... I didn't realize it must've shot out at least 4-5 new leaves!

Yup - thanks for reminding me... I tried to do a 3rd posting but ran into some issues and decided I'd do it later. The hydrocotyle is going nuts - I'm very nervous about removing/trimming it. The riccia is gorgeous, it's gotten a bit taller! My favorite is the marsilea which first sent out some tiny reddish aquatic leaves/petioles(?) I think because I had a lot of light very close to it, but now I've got a couple of teeny clovers! So cute!!

There's been a little bit of die off lately of some hydrocotyle leaves... not sure if that's because it's no longer 2 inches from my tank light (23w cfl) but rotates from window sill (direct afternoon light) to top of tank when I think about it. I think I'll need to pull the hydrocotyle, just hope the riccia doesn't get too mangled in the process.

I have a plastic peanut butter jar that needs to be cleaned & hopefully will make a tiny pot of clover! :thm:

Plants are looking good fishy! That Hydrocotyle looks like 3 or 4 leaf clovers, very cool! Try find some 4 leafs and they might bring you good luck! Lol.. Well, maybe??

Oh, and the sword, what species is it? It's pretty cool. I'm considering something that looks quite like it.. I forget the name, I think it starts with U though? Long, tall leaves. Anyway..

This reminds me, I think I might update my photo thread! Are we the only ones awake?

They do have 4 leaves! They're marsilea minuta - if it was marsilea quadrifolia they'd look more like actual clover.

The sword is an amazon sword (echinodorus amazonicus) - hopefully it won't grow too crazily (haven't added root ferts since a couple months ago, before I got the plant...) so I can keep it in the 10g for a little while.

Heh, yeah it's getting late for me... bed in about 40 minutes.

Amazon Sword? Really? It seems to have thinner and lighter leaves than mine do, it's cool though!

Have a good night.. Z..zZ.z..z.z.zZ..

Well that's what Weedcali said it was... the leaves are probably like that because I have a good bit of light over mine? 2-13w cfl's on a 10g tank...

Dont take my word for it. thats what i received it as. i dont think it is an Amazon though. the leaves are much narrower and pointier than any Amazon ive seen. Fishycat, you should look into getting a positive ID on it ;)
