Yes, two clutches of brigg eggs! I've only had the briggs for exactly 7.5 days, so I'm totally caught by surprise. If I find any more clutches in Grande's tank, I'll probably remove & freeze... two is enough! But if I find some in the 10g (not sure the water is low enough, nor the snails big enough), I may need to incubate because I really want more blue briggs!
You can see the clutch on the right is very recently hatched (white color & very moist!)
Okay, I can't help it - I'm gonna do another update. SNAIL LOAD WARNING! My digicam battery was charged and I remembered this while I was feeding the "bottom feeders" with sinking wafers, and later snello, and I found my calcium pills...
This was the Briggs' first time experiencing sinking wafers... they actually seem to react faster to these than the snello. The cories & MTS are already nomming the snello by the time the briggs find it.
Grande sucking up her piece...
It was so neat to see her rasping tongue moving (through her head).
Little Miss Latte - look how daintily she eats by curling her antennae out of the way.
Scrunchy-faced Dax! So funny!
Literally 5 seconds after I added the calcium pill to the tank... weird!
My fish are trained to eat snello... thus, they proceeded to try and eat the calcium. :nono:
Even the neons got into the act! Sillies.
The early MTS gets the calcium!
It took the briggs a while to discover the calcium,
The smaller ones nibbled some, but didn't really eat a lot.
Grande nommed her calcium - probably needed it after laying all those eggs!
Snello time!
Cories love snello!
And more funny-face pics...
I am so totally this ->
