Fission Nano Skimmer?

I've gone the regular water changes route on a 10, and it was fine. Even then, it was 30% per week, rather than 10%. There are obviously a lot of ways to do things, but removal of 10% of the organics every week is not much of a dent.

On the other hand, a good skimmer will definitely improve water quality. If I were setting up another nano I'd consider the AquaC.

bukitimah, on my old 20, I both skimmed and changed 3 gallons a week. It's best to mix and get it to the right temperature for a day or two before doing the water change.

On my 10g I was changing 3g a week. I was using the 10% number to put the amount of water into perspective only.....we are not talking a lot of water......

I certainly agree about that. Sorry if I turned it into a debate.

Not a problem......It is just much easier to do a 3 g water change on small 10g tanks as opposed to a 15g change on a 75g and my thought is that if money is a problem a person should spend money on say.....more live rock and betting lighting and just go with the water changes....now if money isn't the point then yes by all means get a protein skimmer and if it were me I were me I would be buying the new Aqua Remora as my pick.......

It this Weipro WH-4000 pump & SA-2012 hang-on protein
skimmer any good? sucking is at bottom or top surface?
