Flowerhorn newbie

And what should I do to make him like a puppy??should I keep him without food for a day or so?

For him to be responsive and show interest in you he first has to be comfortable with him surroundings and you. Once he becomes comfortable then you should see his behavior change

Thanks for your reply!
As I'm from india, conditions are different here.you can't easily find water testing kits here. And unlike other countries, our houses are small. So we have to keep fishes in small tank due to space constraints. And we cannot afford huge tanks too.We keep 8-9 inches of flowerhorn in 20 gallons. And they do live happily.I had a 9 inches flowerhorn for around 10 years in my 23 gallon. He was very happy and he used to follow me wherever I go(ofcourse in tank limits)He was like a small puppy, but unfortunately he died couple of months ago.So it becomes almost impossible for us to keep huge tanks like 75 gallons or more than that. That's why we keep small tanks here.

Happily and Healthily are two different things, but ignoring the tank size issue... is the tank he's in decorated at all? Like, with places to hide and fake/real plants to use as shelter? Or at least driftwood and rocks? Most fish become much more bold when they have places that they can hide in.

Do you do water changes at all, or do you just have powerful filters?

EDIT: Also want to say, he looks very pretty :)

No
He is in the bare bottom tank.I have one cave but I think it's not necessary to add now

Well, no wonder he's terrified - he's got no where to hide from you. I'd suggest putting that cave into the tank for him to help him become more comfortable.

Hey hey let me tell you he's not that shy!he just doesn't respond to me when I go near him. That's it!what shall I do to make him more responsive?that's the question! :)
And I have put that cave into the tank again :)
