Hi Friends !

As had posted a few days back (pic attached) I have planted the dwarf harigrass in the foreground, but even after a few days (maybe about 10 to 15 days now), I'm not seeing any development or carpet formation. Just wanted to know on how do the grass varieties reproduce and spread and how much time will it take till I can see new plants coming out ?

Kindly guide me a little as I'm really excited and anxious...
Thanks !

I had some in the past and it took too long to start sending out runners so I ditched it. guess Im too impatient.

I noticed that my dwarf hairgrass grows better in an established tank (especially one with tons of goodies in the substrate)... 15 days is wayyyy 2 early to tell how its growing, first the plant needs to acclimate, and that takes a while, sometimes a week, other times a month... What also helps is if you "mow the lawn", cut the blades to half the size, soon you will see much more thicker growth. But only expect to see a nice full green lawn in say a few months.

(also go over with the gravel vac picking up any junk thats stuck in the grass, so then it wont rot)

Hi Friends...

I was just wondering if I can do anything for the grass to grow quickly ? Should I trim them to half their length ? Will this encourage new growth and quick carpet formation ?

Kindly advice....
