Freecycle. who uses it?

The point is, you come on here complaining that other people keep bothering you with things you don't want and you don't even know yourself what you want. How mad would have you been if someone had called you and said "I have a 50 gallon tank you can have, all you have to do is come and pick it up" and you drove 20 miles only to find out it was in fact a 50 gallon and what you needed was a 55.

You should have been more specific about the size you needed right from the start.

I'm sorry, I thought this comment

was aimed at me as if I were being a jerk for pointing it out. I didn't realize the head banging was for yourself for making the error.

I guess that's how things can get twisted around.

I am sorry for my misinterpretation and subsequent post which, in a way, did make me sound kind of like a jerk.

you are not posting something that is free. If you have left over
items at the end of the sale you are more than welcome to post those
