I have a recently(1 month) set up 75 gallon lightly planted. Currently the tank has 3 clown loaches and 3 yo-yos. All of them are 4 inches and under and this will be their home for the next few years(until they out grow it). There is also a chinese algae eater but he is irrelevant.
What I'm looking for is a mid to upper level swimmer who will not only get along but will do well with the loaches. The tank has some stronger current so it needs to be something that can handle constant movement. I have neons and skirted tetras and a dwarf gourami and some angels in other tanks so I'm looking for something new (I don't really like rainbows for some reason...something about their head shape). I'm asking here first because compatibility charts don't really rate "fish happiness". Would Rams do well? I think their beautiful but hear that they are super aggresive.
Please share your experiences with me, especially if it's to warn against something. Thank you.
