Here it is 1 month after it got started. We added that small deck that will later on become a step for an even larger deck that caters to a firepit table some patio chairs and umbrella

I know.. actually this was just the lower part of the pond. The upper part did not get construct till mid-lastyear.. Ill post the pics soon as I find most of em.
 
Why not just heat it? And then get clown loaches?
 
Yes I was thinking about this but most of the stuff around the house..ie. pumps, outdoor and indoor LED lighting run on solar power. Behind that wall in the front pond is a series of batts hooked up to solar panels on the garage roof. trying to run all of the power outdoors by sunpower. Maybe before winter Ill get a pond heater.:)
