Nerites are teh only efficient algae eater, I would not recommend more than 1 in a 5g tank as they are SUPER proficient at their job. If they clean all the algae, the olive nerites are the easiest to supplement with secondary foods as they readily take most prepared wafers (algae, pellets, sinking wafers).

For bridgesii, looks like ALOT of purples, a few jades, some green striped, magenta striped, and hard to say what else...a good mix heavy on the dark purple striped.

And sounds great Snoopy :)
Ive never seen the greens before. You got any pics? I am interested in buying some if you have any up for sale.

I am in York, PA...zip code 17347, not sure that I am near NJ anywhere. I am about 1 1/2 hours or so west from Philadelphia. Pick-up is always fine :)

With the low bioload of shrimp, and being that your tanks are planted, its very likely you would experience virtually no cycle just by transferring media and stocking with a low number of shrimp (like 10-20). I will have them ready whenever you want them :)

Looks like you're too far for pick up.

I guess, after I run the tank for 1 week, and the parameters are fine and stable, I will be making my order with you. I get to have new shrimp soon! :headbang2: Thanks for the heads up on cycling. Saved my alot of time waiting. :grinyes:

i usually keep an extra sponge filter running in one of my invert tanks for quick set up for new critters. :grinyes: I am impatient!

Petluvr: I will try and get some when they get a weeeee bit bigger. I had sent some to 247plants of which he had posted pics. I will dig up that thread and post an image link for you!

Do you still have any of the blue/black shrimp? They can go with cherry shrimp right? If you do, let me know how much 15 cherry and 5 blue/ black, plus some hygro shipped would be to 16424. Thanks

I have plenty of blue/black shrimp. This being said, I am not certain of their species so cannot say whether they could be house with red cherries or not.

I will just put them in separate tanks then. Maybe after I get them going a bit I will try and put some of each together and see what happens. That way I still have blue / black and cherry. I mean the worst will be wild type in the third aquarium right? Thanks
