Isn't the eel at the bottom-left? Your fish look nice, but they'd look even better after a few water changes and a thoroughly cleaning of the glass.

I see two pipes...... one on either end. Look like HOB filters.

Yeah, i could make out one pipe but i thought that might be the heater.
Looking at it again i can make out a second pipe, but with those fish one HOB filter just isn't enough.

It looks much bigger than a 55. It looks like a 125 tall (60x18x25H). For the size and quantity of the fish, they could use more swimming room...IMO.
