is this the tank from your post above? if so, your tank is waaayyyy too small for that many goldfish.
you need to tell us how many of each kind of goldfish you've got and the height, width and depth of the tank they're in if you don't know the gallons/litres.
sexing your fish should be the least of your concerns at this point.

your moms tank is 6 gallons. she can NOT keep six fish. evidence the fact that they're dieing.
your tank is fifteen gallons. you can NOT maintain ten goldfish in your tank.
the bottom line is that both tanks in discussion here are far too small to house the number and type of fish involved. goldfish exhaust a tremendous waste load and one small goldfish needs at least ten gallons if you expect it to thrive and live a healthy life. most species of goldfish can live for upwards of 30 years. your goldfish are going to manage to eek out a living for a few years at best.
purchase test kits for pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. these toxins are only adding to your space problem.

Liv is absolutely right. There are way too many fish in each of those tanks. Goldfish need a minimum of 20 gallons for rounded bodied goldies and moreso for torpedo shaped ones. The fact that 2 different pet shops told you that you should be ok with what you got should be a clear indication that these shops are out for your money only. Do a search on the boards, you'll see what is need for these tanks/fish.
unfortunately a great many shops don't know anything at all about the fish they sell. you came here seeking advice and are rejecting the advice you're being given.

Wuzi, please listen to the people on these boards. They have a lot of knowledge and have helped me a great deal to learn the proper needs of not just goldies but other species of fish as well. I beg you to please take their advise and give your goldies a happy and healthy life!
