Excellent pick up, especially for free. Lately I've found myself gravitating more towards Eartheaters than any kind other type of cichlid.

Thanks Kalen yeah i like the Eartheaters as well i used to have some nice Jurupari a long time ago i sorta miss em, i think i have some photos of them..

I'd like to see some pictures of those Jurupari, there isn't a bad looking fish in the Satanoperca genus. Whats your plan with the Surinamensis, are you going to breed them?

A little off topic but I've been looking for some Tapajos Red Head without any luck, by any chance are they easier to find in your neck of the woods?

Man i haven't seen any Tapajos here i would like to get some of those as well let me archive my photos i may have a link here with those Jurupari

Ahh crap the Jurupari are on my other computer i gave my daughter i will try to get them later tomorrow and post i know i have them. As for the surinamensis i am just going to see how big they get if they breed that's a plus..

No problem on the pictures man. Too bad those Surinamensis aren't breeding size, I'd definitely get some off of ya. That's probably a good thing though cause I don't have a spare tank right now that could accommodate a 10" fish haha. If you don't mind me asking, how did you come across those for free?

Kalen

No problem man they are about 2" right now so it will be some time before they do anything, I am in the fish club here at Louisville LTFF pretty big club, if you get the chance you should stop in and check us out we have monthly meetings every second Sunday of each month with a speaker, we hold 2 auctions a year which turn out to be awesome, its mostly cichlids but i have seen a lot of variety, actually we are having our fall auction next month September 12th you are welcome to come with your family and will not cost you anything and also you can bid on fish, plants and supplies i supply the food to over 50 plus members / hobbyist really a good time for us fish geeks.

At any rate i got them from a club friend.
