The pellets you use must be different from the ones I used
If they really do mush up, then they ought to be ok! I don't have any pellets like that...New Life Spectrum, for example, doesn't mush well. Freeze dried daphnia is going to be just like a powder, which seems like it would soak right up but in my experience powdered fish food doesn't blend as well as you might expect and sticks to everything. I guess because it's protein powder...and protein is the reason why stuff sticks to your frying pan and baking dishes and what not. If you do use it, add it really carefully so it doesn't get on the sides and make it one of the last things you add.
Not only is green bell pepper kind of hard to work with in consistency, it has a mildly bitter taste, so I wouldn't recommend it since it may be detrimental to the taste of the food. I've never had any fish (not even plecos) show any interest in them, since I've tried to feed them when I have extra. Maybe that is just because I am not a huge fan of them, but I wouldn't put them in (I've always seen green peppers as inferior to yellow, red or orange, since they are just an unripened bell pepper).
I've never heard of basil in fish food. I guess it couldn't hurt? Maybe you should try watercress instead, it's very nutritious also and I know fish like it!
If you add a few drops of liquid multivitamins (such as the kind for babies or birds - alcohol free, of course) you shouldn't have to worry too much about the vitamin content.
One of the best sources of protein is tilapia. It is cheap and Thiaminase free (read up on this btw - Google thiaminase fish) so I would consider it a clean protein source...way better than canned fish.
