I have a 125 litre tank and have 10 silver tip tetra, 5 Cardinal tetra, 1 neon tetra and a male Siamese fighter fish....

I want to get more fish I am gonna get a bristle nose Pleco but not sure what else is suitable and appropriate as I did have Serpea tetra and they fin nipped my cardinals and betta..

Any ideas??

I would add another cardinal or two and about 5 more neons. At that point you might be stocked, but your school numbers will be good

I am noticing my cardinals are hiding a lot.... Would adding a few more and some neons make them come out of hiding?

Having something that is non-predatorial swimming in open water will make them feel safer and less likely to hide.

Some of the larger live bearers might be nice?

Dithers would help hugely for your scared fish situation. Sounds like your other fish are being slightly aggressive towards some others, which will definitely stress fish like neons, who basically use numbers for survival in the wild.

Silver-tips are know fin nippers.
