There are some corals with bio-luminescence, however odds are you wont find them for sale because alot wont do good in a closed system such as an aquarium.

A lot of the nice glowing affect you see has more to do with the lights being used rather then the actual creature's.

i found the pic on a site, that the photos were taken in the ocean i beleive

I saw a very similar picture in a national geographic, I thought that they were "glowing" at first, but as i read, it was the corals under blacklight. So tried it on my very limited collection of corals and a few glowed...a little.

i knew some, could do the black light thing, but, all the photos sorounding the this photo on the site were taken directly in the ocean, and could see people in scuba gear, but maybe they mixed this one in, but look awsome nomatter what tho... IMO

The stars are available at Inland Aquatics.

The luminescence under actinics is truly fluorescence. Corals and jellyfish contain various proteins that glow when illuminated with light of the correct spectrum. Blue light generally works better than blacklights, by the way. Green star polyps and some zoanthids, among others will give strong fluorescence.

what kind of lighting do polyps need?
how many watts per gallon?
and what actinic lights?

do they come in a package all in one?
dont know much about lights yet, and am now thinking of getting better lights so i can try these types of things in the future (5 months or more to get a mature tank)...
