If any one wants a free gmail account some how I got 50 invites 8-O so just eather post here, or mail m.p.oconnor@gmail for one of the 50!

Wow, Awesome! I already have a gmail account that a friend just got me invited for recently. I haven't been given any invites as of yet. 50?! I've never heard of anyone getting so many. You must be special. 
I own a tech. website and we get some updates about gmail every so offten. Gmail will be going public as soon as next month. The 50 invitations they gave you are normal and they are trying to spered the word now.
Harlock it was a shock to me too today, I have never before been given more then 6! and today I have a small box on the bottom left that lets me just put an email there and submit, and it is labled "Invite a Friend" and next to the submit button it says "50 left" So I though if any one wants they can have one.
Kasakato, do you think they will stop with invite only status and let people sign up with out an invite, making the invites pointless?

I've got a bunch of invites as well. I've had my GMail account since early November and at that time i had no problem giving away invites, now it seems like everyone already has a GMail account. I love the GMail extension for Firefox, very handy!
I don't really use mine much I have had mine since 6/22/04, well atlest that is the date of the welcome mail I got in the account is.
so how is Gmail supposed to improve on the current mail options? I'll be the first to say I'll write a letter on paper with a pen if web based mail isn't easy to use.

I've been using it exclusively since I got my account, I don't even use the account I have with my ISP. Gmail has a nice, useable interface, good search function, a gig of space and good spam filtering. I've been quite happy with the service, and you hardly even notice the text ads at the bottom of the page.

I use yahoo's free mail, but I'm thinking its time to change the adress.
