LOL, Good to see I'm not alone....... :D

I was pretty disapointed at the turnout thus far around here....If you haven't gotten out there to vote yet, DO IT! It's not only your right, but your duty as an American citizen to cast your vote!! This is what democracy is all about, the people deciding!!

Out here there are people worth voting against! And local stuff can really bite you in the butt- so many people don't pay any attention. If you can't stomach voting for the Demopublicans or Republicrats, find an independant or 3rd party candidate that most closely matches your views, be they green, libertarian, know-nothing, or whatever. They can really use your support, and if a significant number of people go for a minor party, those issues they support will become a lot more important in the future. It is NOT a wasted vote!

We have a local crook that's been involved in a major state scandal. On top of that, he donated $1,000 to the county auditor's reelection campaign on the day before his property tax evaluation. Well, whaddya know! The very next day the auditor reduced his tax evaluation by $130,000 !!! I wonder if there's any connection?

There's a saying that people get the government they deserve. The problem is that I get the government they deserve, too, and that suuuucks!

America is worth voting for. The U.S. troops are worth voting for. Their are plenty of great canidates in Indiana. So please get out and vote. If you do not like the canidates vote for the party you think will make America a better place.

I'm bummed, I have to wait until this afternoon to cast my ballot. Not about to take the kids with me! Honestly, I vote issues not just with a party. I could, for the most part, care less what affiliation they have as long as they can get the job done right, ya know.

We decided to vote absentee this time, so I've been done for a week. Usually there isn't anything at the last minute that makes me change my mind.

I think in previous years you had to give some sort of excuse to get an absentee ballot, but they changed that so anybody can do it. We could have mailed it in, but I was going past the county courthouse so I just dropped ours off. In a way, it's a lot more pleasant- you can just sit down and go through the ballot without anyone waiting on you and without waiting in line. There has been a big voter ID battle going on in Ohio, so the League of Women Voters and other groups were actually suggesting you vote absentee!

We also have a stack of pretty serious ballot issues in Ohio this year.

Some states are required to put "None of the above" on the ballot. How cool is that!
