going pressurized?

and longevity.

most of your co2 equipment should be considered a once in a lifetime purchase. getting quality stuff the first time will really help ensure that it is.
Ditto!

You can get a two stage regulator (Victor, Concoa, Matheson, Harris, etc) with a Bürkert solenoid with Buna-N seals (brass - #463938 or stainless steel - #463939) and Ideal needle valve (brass 52-1-12, brass with Vernier micrometer handle V52-1-12 or stainless steel 54-1-12, stainless steel with Vernier micrometer handle V54-1-12).

The most expensive parts will probably be the solenoid and needle valve. You can pick up a good new or mint condition two stage regulator on ebay, wholesalers, discount shops, etc for $20 to $100. You can pay retail and it will be $200 to $800+.

Here's some two stage regulator part numbers to look for:
Victor VTS253, 7-0155, VTS453, SGT500, HPT500, HTP270, GTP270 series
Concoa 212, 312, 412 series
Matheson 8-320,

You build yourself an aquarium regulator assembly with those parts and it will last a very long time and preform exceptionally.

^^I have only heard of the infamous 'Left C' never seen you post here.
Very excellent points listed above.

Most folks add the #10-32 x 1/8" barb fittings to the Fabco needle valve so that they can be mounted inline. You can get it with the barbs for $23 plus shipping from Rex Grigg. http://www.bestaquariumregulator.com/CO2.html#needle

There are plastic, nylon and brass fittings. Rex uses the brass ones from Clippard. They are part number 11752-1: http://clippard.com/store/search.asp?sku=11752-1
