Golden Claw crab- is he dead or molting?

Hello! I am brand new on this page, and recently my pet golden claw crab has flipped upside down, and started to molt. One of my other crabs have mottled before so I knew the drill, but the other crabs were attacking him so we put him in a small clear container, which we clipped to the water filter so that the water temp. stays the same. It’s been a few days, and I’ve used a spoon the scoop out water and pour more from the tank in (like a filter) but he hasn’t budged when I tried to nudge him. I’m afraid he will die if Im doing something wrong! There’s a weird flap on his belly as well. Does that mean he is molting? When I pour the water out, and the container shakes a little he is still as stone. I don’t know whats wrong, can someone tell me what’s happening and maybe what I should do? Thanks!
