Good aquascaping/plant book

There's also another Amano book called: Aquarium Plant Paradise. Has very excellent pictures but poor editing/tranlastion.

I wouldn't call Amano books cheap. Even after all these years, they are still pretty expensive. Also rather lean on information.

There is a new book called The 101 best aquarium plants, by Mary Sweeney. There is photos and information about 101 different plants and about a third of them are the rare collector plants everybody on the internet talks about that have never been written about in books before.

An interesting side note is that many of the photos in the book were contributed by fellow hobbyists that you know from the forums! There is even a photograph that I took in the book.

In addition to the plants, there is information about dutch aquascapes, amano type aquascapes, and the "natural aquarium".

It is a soft cover, pocket size book with stitched binding and heavy stock paper. Mary Sweeney is the former editor of TFH magazine, and has written several books for TFH.

You can find more information about the book HERE

If you want to learn more detailed information about authentic, traditional Dutch aquascaping which very little has been written about, you can read a feature article I wrote for FAMA magazine after interviewing actual Dutch artists and showing their photos for the first time. The article is now on my blog HERE There is also an article there I wrote for FAMA on minimalistic aquascaping.
