Had a 3g Pico set up for a while with no occupants other than livesand and LR, and a margarita snail. Went to the LFS today looking for inmates, and for supplies for our 12 other tanks (both SW and FW). Found a matched pair of antenna goby and pistol shrimp, so we took them. In the tank, after acclimation, they found each other, went under the largest piece of LR and started their burrow. They closed the entrances, we didn't see them for a few hours, then, just before lights=out, a little face and a claw pushing out some livesand from an "entrance". Water conditions are awesome, lighting is 27W of 50/50 actinic/daylight. We have multiple tunicates, and sponges growing on the LR, and some small featherdusters (at least 3) which came from nowhere. We hope to add a frag of either xenia or encrustiing gorgonian, or green star polys, but coral is not neccessary, just desired. Suggestions on the corals??? Flow is over 80 gph. Hope to get some pics up soon. Just had to share. Oh, and any suggestions would be great. I know lots of people will say "bigger tank", but that's probably not gonna happen.
