Gouramis & Danios...can I put them together?

We have 8 zebras in with a golden and a blue gourami, and 10 tiger barbs. All get along well, it's been almost 9 months now.

Danios are fin nippers, so just keep an eye out for this behaviour, but since you have a school of them this shouldn't be an issue. Danios should be fine with larger gouramis, they probably would stress out the smaller (dwarf) gouramis though. But yes, danios can be kept with some species of gouramis! Gould luck!

I keep zebra danios with my dwarf gourami with no problems

I will have some considering to do before purchasing in terms of larger vs. dwarf. Despite the danios school of 8, mine are pretty aggressive (well, for tiny little community fish). I will be upping their school for this tank, but I don't know if that will help.

Good to know! I will also be considering barbs in this tank since it's an Asian tank.
