greech's Simple 40 Breeder

Doing great. It's funny, sometimes I see my female clown swimming with him and her little guy looks distraught. Very cool fish though. Great personality and isn't shy at all which I was sure he would be. Need to get a video of him diving under the sand at sleepy time :)

glad to hear all is well bud. look forward to the video.

Hey where'd you get your black and white clown! I'm looking into where to get mine so that it's healthy

My LFS. Actually have a pair.

The good thing about B/Ws is that they are all tank bred as wild caughts are not available in the hobby (at least in the US). That should give you some comfort since wild caught fish are typically less hardy than tank bred. If you have a hard time finding them around you, liveaquaria has them from time-to-time but they are out of stock currently.

hey mate where im from the black and whites are available as wild cought they ship them up to queensland from tasmania(im from aus) but the ones i have are tank bred :)

and btw read the entire thread its nice to see how the tanks can evolve and change and its really nice to see a tank with so much colour thats what i hope to acheive with my tank but atm im having set backs with a cracked tank ect very unlucky..... but oh well new tank and setting up a new sump so should be back to where i was in a month or 2 :)

Thanks for the compliments and sorry to hear about the tank crack (been there myself). The good thing is you get to setup a new tank :).

Interesting to know they sell the wild caught B/W's in aus. I know they can't ship them over here for sale and just assumed aus was protecting them.

Redid my sump yesterday and took out the 1st baffle. Since I am not doing a fuge, it was just wasting space. I actually think my skimmer works betters now too. Got some room for putting some LR down there. Thinking about changing things up but not sure I want to pull the trigger.

Yep...

LOL.. nice! Slightly overkill for a 40 don't you think? ;)

Well its actually about 55 gallons of total water volume :) but yes it's a bit much :).

Aw greech bought me a protein skimmer!

Oh darn, now I don't have anything to surprise you with for your birthday. Oh well, guess I'll just have to use it for myself :)
