greech's Simple 40 Breeder

Thanks. The iphone can't combat the blue lighting very well but they are pretty happy right now. Well all of them except the darn red scoly that had a small favia frag fall on it the other day. It won the fight but the favia got in a few good punches :).

Thanks. The clowns are great. Like little puppy dogs :).

Envious as always!!
I will pay you in baked goodies if you come help set up my reef when I get to my duty station!!

Very nice Graham... seems like a lot more SPS in your tank. Very clean and orderly! I guess that I should go clean the glass on my tank now... lol...

Hey... how often do you vacuum your sand??

Every water change Benson. If you ever run a bare bottom system, you will know how much detritus settles down there in a weeks time. My sandbed is very thin. Just a dusting up front and around the sides and maybe 1.5" under some of the rocks (where my pistol and goby live). I probably wouldn't be as aggressive if I was running a deeper bed.

Not so much that I have added a lot more SPS but the little nubs I started with are finally starting to grow. Definitely some newer SPS frags though.

If baked goods can somehow be converted to gas for my car or a plane ticket to Ohio, I'll be there no problem Bally :)!

Any updates on the 120? Need to see more pics please! Just read through this whole thread again... it was my main inspiration for my tanks over the last few years...

Everything is done except for another bag of sand and some additional rock.

An unexpected delay came in the form of a heart attack I had 3 weeks ago Saturday. I'm doing better but I lost a fair amount of heart muscle so I get pretty week just from walking. I will get my strength back to some degree but for now I have to take it easy. Still keeping the 40 up and in good shape but a water change alone is about all I can take. Can't lift anything so having to slide things around. I will get some new pics of the 40 up tomorrow along with some shots of the 120 if you want to see an empty glass box :).

Graham, I am really sorry to hear that. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers for a full and speedy recovery and full strength...

Wow... take it slow and get well...

I would love to see pics of the empty tank... :tropicalfish:
