My guppie Hoss, is breathing rapidly this morning. He is in a tank with another male guppis, Little Joe, and a ADF, Kermit. He is breathing rapidly so I dont know what to do. I am going to clean out the tank today. What should I do?

you have to condense your questions into one mail!! haa ha.
that sounds like high ammonia or nitrite depending on where you are in the cycle and you need to change your water to fix that. (Is your tank cycled?) Or you have a spike for other reasons....decomposing stuff for example.

am i rememberring correctly that you dont have testkits?
You really need to get some.
I recommend aquarium pharmaceuticals ( sorry aout that spelling lol) test kits for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. I think you said they were confusing.. but people here can help you figure them out. You will be reallly glad you got them if you do.

I have a test kit but it tells you if you have something in your water by colors. I cant't read it. I will try to get another one.

if you can see colors, then you can use the test kit ok.
you dont have to be exactly exact *S.
there should be a card or something with some colors to match.
you see which color is kind of close to what you have, and then read the numbers next to that color. that will give you a good idea.

If that color changes at all, that means you have Some. with ammonia and nitrite that is ll you need to know. You want to have zero.
I say, unless you cant see color at al, give it a try, i will beon for a while more and would be interested in how it goes.
