*** Guppies?

I woudl guess it was competition myself. My white clouds are always showing off to each other, flaring and all that. Males (humans too) always try to show off to each other to prove who is the best.

3 females to 1 male is a good number. Male live bearers will try to mate with anything.
Agreed! I have one particularly eager male platy who used to chase my angel fish around, trying to mate constantly! He spends most of his time chasing females, but will also try to get together with males and other species. Nothing wrong with your guppies, it's just their nature :)

What kind of question is that. Just use common sense.
funny i am new to this as well!!! one month to be exact.. this is my first time here and i typed this exact topic in the search because i was wondering the same thing about my fish... since i know nothing about guppys common sense would tell me if there are females around but the males still insist on keeping there mouth near the other males private area while chasing them around would be a good indication that they are ***!!!
as a matter of fact both males and females in my tank have not acknowleged each other yet.. i added 3 females 4 days ago with my tank of 3 males??the males have been in for a month
anyways i like questions like this for it makes reading forums more humorous..
there seems to be people at all forums that just think they are so **** smart and have nothing but negative unhelpfull things to say to all the funny members who are not afraid to ask anything.. perhaps this rude person is *** and is offended because they feel the
fish can't help the way god made him and that the fish have rights to be ***..
anyways this answers most of my questions and i now feel my fish are just confused from not being exposed to the opposite sex and they are also stressed (***),later

Brokeback syndrome. All the girlies are unavailable, so they just go after the next best thing.

Brokeback... nice and disturbing movie. Whatever.

I have two male paradise fish and they are all day circling each other like they are mating. I've tried to get some fems, but the LFS only carries males, for thay are better looking. I ended up getting two males (3, but one passsed out) because at juvenile, thay are pretty hard to tell apart.
