I woudl guess it was competition myself. My white clouds are always showing off to each other, flaring and all that. Males (humans too) always try to show off to each other to prove who is the best.
Agreed! I have one particularly eager male platy who used to chase my angel fish around, trying to mate constantly! He spends most of his time chasing females, but will also try to get together with males and other species. funny i am new to this as well!!! one month to be exact.. this is my first time here and i typed this exact topic in the search because i was wondering the same thing about my fish... since i know nothing about guppys common sense would tell me if there are females around but the males still insist on keeping there mouth near the other males private area while chasing them around would be a good indication that they are ***!!!mayreee said:What kind of question is that.
