Heater question....

I always unplug my heater because my BF yells at me and says I will get electrocuted!!:eek3: But I always had it in the back of my mind that it would shut off by itself. I am sorry it happened to you but the info is invaluable.

Contact Marineland directly. The LFS is their customer and would be the only one hurt by accepting a direct return. Since it's a product problem, the manufacturer should shoulder the burden IMHO.

Yeah, my hubby is always swalking about that too, but I guess I was feeling dangerous tonite! :lipssealedsmilie:
 
Well, I called Marineland today and they are sending a replacement heater. (Thanks for the phone number Hooked!) I have learned my lesson and will make sure heaters are unplugged before I start water changes! Chalk this one up to stupid mistakes! :headshake2:

Yeah, they were pretty great; didn't ask a whole of questions and didn't ask for a receipt or even for the return of the damaged product! Just took my info and said they would send one right out! Great customer service in my book........
