Mine did too except for that one time.....:mad2: I bought another stealth but I never again count on it to turn itself off. I make sure I unplug it now.

when i was putting my fish into my new tank i forgot to turn of the heater when i took it out and it cracked so i had to buy another one i guess we have to be carefull with heaters
